I was trying to install ImageMagick recently using HomeBrew, I was able to install the software however when I tried to run any commands I was receiving the error
ImageMagick reported an error: dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib Referenced from: /opt/local/bin/convert Reason: Incompatible library version: convert requires version 14.0.0 or later, but libfreetype.6.dylibprovides version 10.0.0
I tried to update a whole bunch of things but struggled for a few days, the solution ended up being the need to update X11 (XQuartz). I installed the update, restarted my Macbook and the issue was fixed. The download is sizeable but it is definitely the solution to the problem.
